What is The Literasaurus?
'The Literasaurus' is an initiative created and maintained by teachers and learners as part of the Te Roopu Pourewa Community of Learning in Auckland's eastern suburbs. Currently, our roopu consists of four full primary schools: Kohimarama School, Orakei School, St Thomas’s School and Stonefields School. These serve as feeder schools for Selwyn College and, as such, Selwyn is deeply invested in promoting a cohesive community with shared understandings and ideals. Through the shared expertise of the community, 'The Literasaurus' aims to exemplify curriculum progressions and thereby support learner agency. By comparing and contrasting their own learning against moderated examples, students will be able to more easily recognise where their own gaps lie and set goals accordingly.
